A lot has happened politically in the last 24 hours but I had a long day of filming for our documentary. So I leave you with some drawings and photos.
We filmed me drawing the Algonquin Hotel and I sat with the famous round table for a moment!
I interviewed Emma Allen, the Cartoon Editor of The New Yorker, and I drew her, too
Finally, we filmed cartoonist Emily Flake in her Brooklyn home. And met her cat Gizmo!
Happy Tuesday, see you tomorrow! Thanks for being here.
Wow! The real Algonquin Hotel! The real cartoonist drawing on an actual CLIPBOARD! And a real CAT and COUCH and RADIATOR in a Brooklyn APARTMENT!
Love the peaceful cityscape.
Old famous hotels are not a part of my any-day scape in rural northern CA.
Your drawings take me back more than fifty years to a brief but very important New York City residency and series of personally & ultimately professionally enlightening group experiences in community building! Fun to look back and see the roots of my young life expand & grow through the decades thereafter.
Thank you!
