A Street Scene in Guadalajara

Old and new

From today through Sunday, I am in Guadalajara, Mexico. A good friend, a cartoon artist named Angel Boligan, invited me to participate in a series of panel discussions at the Guadalajara International Book Festival. He lives in Mexico City and arrives tonight, and we will have dinner with a few other cartoonists. Our gatherings for the festival are sponsored by the University of Guadalajara.

Before things start with the book festival tomorrow, I walked around a little. The above is a drawing from a scene I saw during my walk.
