Not a cat person. Not a dog person either, though if I had to have one pet and it was my choice, I'd have a cat. I appreciate their independence, and their general not giving a squat about much of anything. At one point we had a cat AND a dog; the cat would find a mouse in the house (we lived in the country) and chase it out into the open. But he would not finish it off. The dog would do that part. Together they could crack every case, a sort of Purrsky and Pooch team. And they never sat on the couch watching TV. Dogs on couches and cats on tables ist verboten here. I'm the evil enforcer of that, when I need to be. And if there's going to be a couch potato around here, Le pomme de terre, c'est moi.

Our cats have been known to eagerly watch the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show. ðŸ¤
