As the plane landed from my flight back to the States from Oslo, New York was a bit hazy. Not particularly looking her best this evening. But, it is New York, and I love her.
Oslo is a beautiful city and seems to be very liveable. I left early this morning by a speedy train direct to the airport….the contrast between getting in and out of Oslo vs New York is so different. Oslo is orderly, well run and clean. New York is messy, somewhat disorganized (I would say it’s a system that is fluid) and wacky. Oslo is quiet, New York is anything but.
While it was a real treat to be in Norway and enjoy their hospitality, it’s good to be back to a chaos I know and love.
Suffering from jet-lag and not able to put a coherent sentence or drawing out at the moment, I will sign off. See you tomorrow!
Welcome home! Nothing's changed!
When I lived in NYC, I used to think, upon returning: This is the only destination in the whole world that is better than anything I might have left behind (including Paris). Second thought: I hope the cabbie doesn’t rip me off.
