First day of filming cartoonists for Women Laughing

Today was the first day of creating our documentary, Women Laughing! Here is a drawing I did of the crew starting to set up. We have an amazing group of filmmakers, I feel so lucky.

It was a complicated set-up because we are filming me and another cartoonist drawing as we talk about stuff. So there were four cameras, which is a lot. It’s all about the creative process, and how women artists are speaking in their drawings about their lives and our collective worlds through humor. We will do this again in the morning, with two different artists, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. I am enjoying it so much.

I won’t be able to write about politics tomorrow, either, but will post a drawing or two, of course!

I did not read or see any news today, but just heard about the second shooting towards Trump. Wow. Will catch up a little when I get home soon .
