Such an historic nomination for the Supreme Court of the United States, I wanted to draw Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson. The Senate hearings for her nomination are today and earlier I listened to about 15 minutes of the introductory remarks by some Senators. It’s appalling to me some of the thing the GOP say, I didn’t hear anything personal, just that they try to fram her nomination in a horribly negative light. They mused as to why she is the favorite candidate of the “far left wing” of the Democratic party. To me, that a dog whistle.
In the end, I expect her to be confirmed. But not before the right tries to make Judge Jackson into something I am sure she’s not. I watched her face as the Senators spoke and she was a picture of stillness and calm. I am a big fan.
Love this, and thank you, Liza!
Thank you, Linda.
