A fall drawing for you. Was that last leaf undecided? Mixed visual metaphor, sorry. I don’t think of the Harris/Walz team as dead leaves. But I do wish every Democratic, Independent, sane GOP leaf would just get on board already. Maybe the dead leaves are Trump Maga people.

How much can I write about all the horrifying and weird stuff Trump is saying and doing?

He’s now using the phrase “I love you” in his rallies. Normally, I would say, how nice. But we know it’s just another effort to keep his core cult followers around. Maybe he senses they are drifting. These proclamations of adoration come in between pleas for money and attacks against immigrants. Send them home, he says.

“We should have closed the border years ago, and then we wouldn’t have hostile take-overs of Springfield Ohio, Aurora Colorado, where they’re actually going in with massive machine gun type equipment, guns that are beyond even military scope and they’re taking over apartment buildings. They’re in the real estate development business, congratulations. Young Venezuelan street-gang members who were sent here by the Venezuelan government.”

I think it’s probably fine to continue to obsess about Trump in handcuffs, by the way. We need to obsess him away from the White House.
