To quote you... "I’m having so much fun here! I am very grateful to you all." ~ Liza D.

And we are too - having fun and grateful to you, too. Happy New Year's (eve!)

Thank you, Liza, for sprinkling whimsy and joy and perspective over my year. May a just universe embrace us all in 2026 ❤️!

Your posts, and your commentary, have opened a window for me. Although I’d always looked forward to the editorial cartoons in media I hadn’t ever thought about the creative process that made them. But now I do! I carefully look at each one regardless where it is published, and think about what the artist is saying, many times beyond the immediate ‘oh I get it.’ Thank you!

Thank you for the creativity the stories but most of all the humor Liza - boy do we need it! We’d love to have you bring your film to Charlottesville we’ve got a historic theater that’d sell out with your name on the marquee! Happy ‘26!

What fun to see you build this drawing step by step! I only wish I could also be party (no pun intended) to what goes on in your mind as you decide the next step. Do you pretty much have it all visualized at the start--or does every new line somehow suggest what comes next?

P.S. How come my doodles never come close to cohering like yours!!

I'm grateful for you, your cartoons and words. Thank you. I hope you might be able to bring Women Laughing to the Detroit area. Perhaps they would show it at the Detroit Film Theater at the Detroit Institute of Arts!

...about the pressure of celebrating... I attended New Year's parties associated with my job until I retired. I dreaded them. For me they were a crashing bore. My problem is that I don't "party" and hate the small talk and too much pretense oriented primarily to oneself. I'm ok with various ways that people "celebrate" and have fun, but too often it lacks something genuinely rich with meaning and that bothers me. If this were a new year celebrating the demise of MAGA, I'd toast to that! At least you're thoughtful about it, Liza, and that's why I subscribe to Seeing Things. I want to see more and think less.

I hope your travels will bring you to the Northampton MA area. I’m happy to help organize if desired.

I, for one, (but know others feel the same way) could NOT have gotten through the mire of this year without you. Your insights were a sane lifeline I clung to in order to put one foot in front of the other and get on with it. I do hope we find some relief in 2026, and extend my sincere appreciation for you and your work during this past and horrendously difficult 365 days. May our "Mew" Year bring peace, love, and joy..... P.S. You might try the Westport Library for Women Laughing. I think that may be a venue worth checking out.

Happy 2026, everyone! Party like it's 2028! Looking forward to seeing what changes come to Seeing Things. And what new filming adventures might be in store for you. It's been a lot of fun to see you draw and to be allowed to make comments on captions, etc. As I look at your drawing today, I think how hard noses are. And how wild hair can be. Best wishes to everyone here. Onward!

Some of the most treasured times of my almost 72 years have involved women laughing. Can’t wait to see the film. Onward to 2026.

Thank you Liza for your drawing and always being real. I feel a bit melancholy about NYE not because I don’t like it but I think about my departed husband and remember some fun times together. But I was sick yesterday with a headache and upset stomach , and didn’t want to share that with family. I am okay with it and waiting for the ball to drop while letting the tv play with volume down. I have a bottle of Prosecco and may open near midnight. So Happy New Year to friends and family all over the US and farther. May 2026 bring the 🌎 world 🕊️ peace

Yes she is! Right now I am listening to Mayor Mamdani giving his speech. I love listening to that man. He makes my heart sing.
