I have an Irish name, very proud of it. My ancestors came over from County Monaghan around 1800, his name was Peter Donnelly. But I am a mixture of also English, Scottish, Scandanavian.
Here are a few drawings I did a few years ago in Ireland. I marched in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade here in NYC a few years ago with the very friendly Irish Business Organization, it was so fun.
Ireland had an exciting week at the Oscars with several nominations for terrific films. I loved The Banshees Of Inisherin, but also a lesser known film, The Quiet Girl. I highly recommend it. The one that won was a short, called An Irish Goodbye— it’s fun and poignant. It’s so great seeing Irish film recognized!
I love Dublin, and have so much more to see of Ireland. Can’t wait.
This is a reminder that I am having my monthly zoom meeting tonight, starting at 5pm ET, along with a second hour of Office Hours at 6 for cartoon artists. If you want to share one drawing, we can do that. Details below the paywall.
Let’s talk!
