Liza, my heart breaks every day from all the chaos and disregard around us. These women lifted me up. So lovely, thank you.

We all need to pause and notice (and celebrate) precious moments of connection.. of others or of ourselves with someone.. thank you for the reminder! Have fun at your screening!

Good for you, Liza. And good for women cartoonists, too. I did enjoy the film, and the folks who attended in SF.

Have fun at your screening. I love your drawing of the two women on the train. It only takes a moment or a few minutes to touch someone, not always literally but figuratively. So, this is what it sparked in me. This morning, getting gas for my car and gas (coffee) for me - a man who I have seen many times at our local gas/eatery station who uses a cane, has only one good working arm - who joins another man - I believe every day for coffee and conversation, who also has some needs, held the door for me!! I thanked him and turned and held the door open for him as he entered after me. I asked as he was getting his coffee if he was going to get a donut or something. He said no! My intention was to pay for whatever he was going to get. I try to do a good deed every day. I kept thinking what a process he would have to go through to carry his coffee, navigate to get his money, and then join his friend. I told him I wanted to do my good deed for the day and pay for his coffee. He thanked me several times. I thanked him for being so kind. His buddy, who doesn't know me from anyone, saw me getting a coffee the other day. He asked how I liked it. We both agreed that our Stewarts Shop has the best coffee. I told him I drink it black. He said, " Oh, he has to put some Irish Creme in his to sweeten it a little because black is just too bitter." Out of the blue, my humorous side kicked in, and I told him I didn't need a sweetener because I was already sweet enough! He laughed, I laughed, and the staff laughed. My heart was full! I am finding I don't laugh much anymore, and laughter is the best medicine. Thank you for all your cartoons, especially the ones that show the human connection and allow us to poke fun at ourselves. I just wish we had a president who knew how to laugh or even smile with real emotion.

Women laughing: I wish that I were able to laugh again. My husband's sense of humor is missed each day.

Wishing you’d bring the film here to Charleston, SC. I’d love to see it. Love the drawing!
