The northern tip of Manhattan in NYC is an area called Inwood. I’ve drawn parts of it before, and will again. It’s a lovely area that is quieter than downtown, and has a park surrounded by the Spuyten Duyvil Creek (connecting the Harlem River and Hudson) right outside the building. One thing about living here is that the subway ride to midtown can be a half hour trip. But it gives me time to people watch, do emails, listen to a book, or draw someone on my iPhone. Yesteday, I scanned the car and this man was sitting directly across from me. He never noticed that I drew him (I don’t think).
I used a different drawing tool on my app, first by accident and then I kind of enjoyed seeing it. Do you see the difference, what do you think?
I’m going to go watch Jim Jordan continue to lose votes (for the third time) for the House Speaker position. After saying on Thursday that he was not going to ask for another vote until January, he changed his mind within a few hours, and called for a vote this morning. Minority Leader Rep. Hakeem Jeffries calls Jim Jordan “a clear and present danger” to the American people, that he is “the poster child for MAGA exptremism.” He is. I can’t even begin to express how dangerous he would be as Speaker. I repeat: he is an election denier, a Trump loyalist and I believe seeking to tear down our democracy from inside the Capitol.
Not only that, he is wasting everyone’s time calling for a vote this morning, and weakening our country.
An audio recording was released of someone threatening the wife of a Republican House member.
Happy Friday, thanks for being here.
Seems like it might have loosened up the line a little. All your work is so great. Glad to be a subscriber.
Yep. I agree with everything you wrote, Liza.
