If you’ve been in a relationship for a while, you know there are rules. Dos and don’ts. Preferences. When and where you argue, all very important.
New Yorker drawings are about life, they touch a element of truth in our experience, and make us laugh. I think beaches are particularly ripe for humor.
Here is one by one of my favorite contemporary cartoonists, Julia Suits. Haven’t you ever wondered what those shells think when we rip them from the beach and place them in our homes?
This one by my husband, Michael Maslin, is one of my favorites.
Here’s how married minds think alike sometime. I did this one before I was aware of the one he did above. His drawing appeared in The New Yorker, mine did not! It happens!
Michael’s is a bit more believable, mine is just wierd. Both viable ways to make fun of life!
Happy Tuesday, and if you’re at the beach, I hope your suit fits!
These are really a daily delight!
