This evening, former CNN journalist Jim Acosta threw a town hall in midtown Manhattan. I live broadcast a few minutes at the start (although when I started the live, I didn’t know they weren’t ready to start!). You can watch the whole thing on Jim Acosta’s Substack.
All who were there were Subtack folks— both in the audience and most of those onstage. Guests onstage were Harry Dunn, former DC police officer, Don Lemon, Olivia Troye, an American national security official who worked on national security and homeland security issues at the National Counterterrorism Center, Tara Setmayer, activist, and Michael Cohen, former Trump attorney.
It was fun and very passionate. Many important things were said, and said loudly and forcefully about securing our democracy, and I hope they do this again. Getting people drummed up and feeling the community of resistance is what we have to do. If I hear of more of these, and I can go, I will live draw them.
