Below are some thoughts about the news from today.
This is how crazy the media environment is now. A show I regularly used to listen to as a podcast, MSNBC’s Morning Joe, decided to go to Mara Lago and meet with Trump. Joe Scarboro and Mika Brzezinski, co-hosts traveled down there to be “in dialogue” with Trump. I don’t think he should be normalized. There has to be a way to bridge the divide, but not by going to kiss his ring.
Biden was in the rain forest yesterday, doing good work as he is want to do. I hope he does every last thing he can to help the environment, as well as people in need before he leaves office. I know he is helping Ukraine more now, as much as he can.
Hakeem Jeffries has been re-elected minority House leader, and will lead the resistance against Trump. I cannot think of a better person to do this.
