President Obama gave a great talk yesterday while campaigning for Harris, and in it, he talked about what real strength is. It’s not about putting people down. It’s not belittling others.
He directed a lot of his comments to men, and in particuar Black men. Let’s hope he does more campaigning in the next three weeks.
The Atlantic Magazine endorsed Harris yesterday. They have not endorsed many candidates over the history of the publication. And, according to Heather Cox Richardson, the few endorsements have been more about Democracy and less (if at all) about policy.
“The Atlantic nodded to the free thought on which the magazine was founded in 1857 when it came out strongly for Harris today. It is endorsing Harris, it said, because she ‘respects the law and the Constitution. She believes in the freedom, equality, and dignity of all Americans. She’s untainted by corruption, let alone a felony record or a history of sexual assault. She doesn’t embarrass her compatriots with her language and behavior, or pit them against one another. She doesn’t curry favor with dictators. She won’t abuse the power of the highest office in order to keep it. She believes in democracy. These, and not any specific policy positions, are the reasons The Atlantic is endorsing her.’”
If someone says again that Harris is not doing enough interviews, I’m going to lose it. The mainstream media is taking their talking points from Trump, and that has to stop. She IS doing interviews, just not with what with a lot of “corporate media.” Why should she, when the people she needs to reach many not even read newspapers? They listen to podcasts, radio, tv talk shows and TikTok. It’s a reality, and she is aware of that.
I just did a Substack Live video, below the finished drawing. It was inspired by all the negativity Trump spews about/at our country.
Trump verby attacks and trashes our cities and our country so much, and I hate it. We have our problems, but we are a great country.

Liza, again you are right on. Why is it that we humans have to vacillate between violence and the sublime. Negativity is violence in action. Now more than ever we need the positivity of Kamala.
Your rendering of the mini-trumps in your drawings is so, so perfect.
