The Washington Post reports that Liz Cheney is considering a third party Presidential run. I won’t vote for her, but I think because she is such a vociferous outspoken critic of Trump, we need her.
“Several years ago, I would not have contemplated a third-party run,” Cheney said in a Monday interview with The Washington Post. But, she said, “I happen to think democracy is at risk at home, obviously, as a result of Donald Trump’s continued grip on the Republican Party, and I think democracy is at risk internationally as well.”
As the article states, there is concern that her candidacy might pull voters away from Biden—but she is against pro-choice, and that’s big—so in my opinion, that is a small risk. The Post reports that even if she doesn’t run, she will consider voting for Biden and campaigning for him. She feels that strongly that our Democracy is at stake.
I feel the same way. The other day, thinking about this, I wondered that even if I could post a drawing every day about this, would it do any good? And what would I post, even? How could I draw about this fear that I have?
Here is a bonus drawing that has absolutely nothing to do with Liz Cheney or politics or anything. In fact it’s outright silly and bizarre. We always need silly and bizarre, no matter how bad things get, don’t you agree?
