Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has sued Congressman Jim Jordan (R. Ohio) for interference in the Trump hush money case. Bragg, who last week indicted Trump on 34 felony counts, calls it a “brazen attack” on the the Trump prosecution. Republicans on the House Judiciary Committee, which Jordan chairs, announced they would be holding a “field hearing” (what is that?) in Manhattan next week to examine how Bragg’s “pro-crime, anti-victim policies have led to an increase in violent crime and a dangerous community for New York City residents.” Read more here.
This is ridiculous, and typical of the far right GOP, attacking to discredit in made-up ways. Jordan is going after Bragg (in, my opinion, using dog-whistle, racist words), in order to attempt to further divide the country between “liberal elites” in places such as supposedly crime-ridden NYC, and conservatives.
Where will this suit lead? It’s a legal face-off between these two very different looking men. I had to draw them. But it’s really a face-off between Trump and his accusers, Jordan is just the front man. And in an effort on Trump’s part to stall, stall, stall.
I am so tired of these battles.
I agree with the little girl. Streaming "happy" now would be so nice. 🙏🏻
