If you want to skip down to the cartoon, and not read my poll news, I don’t blame you. But I also put a great clip of Harris on SNL down below, too.
A Des Moines Register Iowa poll conducted by a respected polling firm showed Harris leading Trump in Iowa 47% to 44% among likely voters. This is good news for Harris and may be a reflection of other midwestern swing states. I think people are tired of the meanness.
The final NY Time Siena poll has Harris strenght but Trump gaining ground in Pennsylvania.
Apparently, the gender gap is enormous, and driving much of Harris’ gains. That is because of the battle for a women’s right to choose, which most Americans are in favor of, and the heavy testosterone level of the Trump campaign in these last weeks. In his effort to go after the young white male vote, he is alienating women. The arrogant, aggressive toughness is too much. The idea that the binary between men and women is so sharp is off-putting, mostly because it assumes women are helpless.
The NY Times reported that “.. Donald Trump made wild and unfounded claims about election interference on Sunday, telling a crowd of supporters that he “shouldn’t have left” the White House after the 2020 election.” He called Democrats “demonic.” In a phone interview on NBC, Trump said that he would not rule out alarming ideas from RFK, Jr about possibly banning certain vaccines, as well as remove floride from our water. Trump said, “Sounds ok to me.”
Here’s something to make you smile. Kamala Harris’ smile I find infectious. Can you picture the fun we will have with her in the White House?
I end today’s post with a silly dog cartoon. Maybe a tad on the sweet side, but hey, don’t we need that right now?
In my world, dogs do chase squirrels, but really it’s just a game. They like them as potential pals.
Happy Sunday, see you tomorrow! Don’t forget our supporter zoom tomorrow at 5pm EST. Link below.
