From Kate Christobek of the NY Times: “A group of pool photographers entered the courtroom and approached the defense table. As they readied their shot of the former president, Trump leaned in to get closer to them and stared into each lens as they snapped his photo.”
Can you imagine that glare directed at you?
Another journalist reported that Trump winked at a court reporter and mouthed “How are you?”
More as it happens and seems interesting. It’s all about jury selection now. A few prospective jurors who had filled out the questionnair and are to be interviewed were late. Judge Merchan is proceeding anyway, will interview them later.
The last time I declared out loud “I feel I’m being punished” was at Sesame Place on a hot summer day, holding an armful of kid stuff belonging to the troop of grandchildren and grandnieces and nephews determined to visit every attraction in that treeless place. Their mothers insisted I accompany them as I had purchased their admission. (This is both a memory and public service announcement).
Watching the courtroom yesterday when my husband had the commentary on tv I remembered that hot day vividly.
