The final January 6th Committee Meeting ended with a public invitation
Here below are the drawings I did just now of the January 6th Committee’s (possibly) final hearing.
In the final moments of the meeting, the committee voted in favor of sending a subpeona Donald Trump to testify under oath. They said they wanted to execute the decision and voting for the official subpeona in front of the American people, on television.
Historic.
I don’t think we will hear from Trump under oath- I don’t know how he can get out of it, but he will. The proceedings today were important in crystalizing what he did, when, and what he didn’t do. The committee repeatedly showed us via testimony by GOP members, former employees, supporters and administration officials, that Trump is the main instigator, no— he was the one person responsible for the attack on the Capital and for the deaths, and threat to our democracy.
I agree about Trump’s total disrespect for law and seemingly no interest in truth.
I found one of the most interesting and moving parts of the hearing to be
the film shot by Alexandra Pelosi. Documented true leadership and commitment to carrying out the Democratic process of certifying the votes. Pelosi , Schumer, and other members are to be commended for their fearless service and attempts to quell the violence.
Related to the film I jumped around the coverage to get different perspectives. On CNN Anderson Cooper said he has seen all the film, about 40 minutes, and will be airing it on his program this evening.
What would stop him from lying anyway. He doesn’t respect law?…
