It’s been a long time coming, but today is the official launch of my book, Very Funny Ladies. It was supposed to come out last November, then February this year and finally it’s March 1. I know I am not alone among authors who have had their pub dates moved because of covid! But I am glad it is out, and I can also do many events in person now! Here are the events, some of which will be virtual and some in person, some both.

If you would like a signed copy, you can order from my local bookstore, Oblong Books. Next week, the bookstore will again offer the choice of personalization of the signed copies! Consider that. But, also, every one I sign, personalized or not, ALWAYS has a little drawing!
Last night, I live drew the Pen America Awards, which I have done before. It was hosted by Seth Meyers, who is always entertaining.
There was an air of seriousness during the show, more so than usual at this event. After the ceremony, we all went out to the street for a candlelight vigil for Ukraine. It was very moving. It was too cold to draw, and too crowded, as we were all jammed together. So I took photos and drew this below later that evening. If you want to see a live video of the vigil that I took, go to my Instagram Live page.
And finally, you may or may not know, I am back to live drawing every day. I did that during the pandemic and it was very meaningful to me. Others told me they took a lot from the daily conversation and drawing. In the last three days, I have been doing something about Ukraine, below is today’s drawing. Join me on Instagram, and you will get notified when I go live to draw.
The world is not going to stand for Putin’s aggression.
Love all this. Happy Pub Day, Liza!
