Travel makes for stellar people watching. When I flew yesterday, I saw many interesting people, here are a few. People were still boarding after I got to my seat, and I watched them march by (I was not in first class- just forward in the plane). I saw a little boy looking worried as he boarded with what looked like his father. The woman across the aisle from me was rather large with a massive red velvet pant suit. She also was wearing fuzzy slippers. This drawing was done from a quick photo I took—sometimes I do it that way, although I prefer drawing on the scene in the moment. Just not possible for this kind of capture. The photo helps my memory, and I use it as a tool to draw from.
I see a story here, someone will have to write it. I drew it. Tell me what you see.
Here is the video grab. My usual app, Paper, is being glitchy so I used Procreate and you can see me figuring out how to navigate layers in this video. Paper is much more simple, but I couldn’t get it to work! I do like the crispness of the finished product, though.
I’m in LA, by the way! Visiting family and seeing friends, work partners (on the documentary)….and working all the while.
Thanks for being here, see you tomorrow. Happy Thursday!
The boy mistakes the woman in the red suit for Mrs Claus, and asked his father why Santa's wife is flying commercial when there is a perfectly good sleigh to use.
I think she's sleep flying.
