my money is on Rubio - he is a longtime skilled player ...but, of interest, is that they are both unlikable, whereas Trump was likeable for some people - so is rthe smell of manure - no accounting for some people's taste..my dark horse is Mitch Landreau from La - comes fom a southern political dynasty and, unbelievably , took down those grotesque statues in broad daylight after explaining in simple English why it needed to be done..watch this guy..
Love the drawing, Liza! AND the list. I agree with every single item, with the possible exception of the Yankees. I was born at Jewish Memorial Hospital on Upper Broadway in Manhattan, so I can claim to be a true-blue Noo Yawkah. Long before there were Mets, there were Dodgers. I rooted for them. I like underdogs. My stepfather took me to a game at Ebbets Field. Afterward, we were outside when he spotted the "Say Hey Kid," Willie Mays himself. We called to him, but he was well out of earshot. When "Dem Bums" moved to LA, I stopped rooting for any team. 🙃
Thanks Charles! I hear you, I grew up in Washington DC and was a Senators fan and we hated the Yankees …so when I moved to New York I rooted for the Mets. And I married Michael who is the Yankees fan so I became a Yankee fan as well! Yankees don’t always win, we need to remember:)
Are we waiting? Or are we biding our time? Are we procrastinating or are we plotting strategically? I am a very impatient person, I admit it. But I don't know a soul who likes to wait, who wants to wait. Apparently, we've become a country that desires instant gratification. Instant gratification but no satisfaction. I am working on becoming very patient, working on my waiting. I hope it pays off.
So disappointed. I expected a lot more lists to add to yours, Liza. You are so in tune with us---waiting is what we've all been doing, waiting for reality to kick in, for gravity to take effect, for Trump supporters to wake up, for the mainstream media to tell the truth, for women to take over the reins of power, for the apocalypse, for real bread in every grocery store. Your husband is a very smart man. And this be best: waiting for the algae to take over the White House. Cheers!
I don't think you have to wait for algae to take over the White House; it already has. Trump has tilted his head so far to the right that the algae he uses for brains has spilled out.
Yes, waiting for (and working towards) things becoming less chaotic, horrible, corrupt and infuriating has been my mental and emotional state for a long time now.
How lovely. Great drawing today and happy you can bounce ideas off Michael. What was the buzz in Maine if you care to share. Curious about support for Plattner but would love to bid farewell to Collins in the midterm. Not holding breath about 2028 but I hope neither Vance or Rubio are going forward but they are both ambitious as hell. Don’t really care because I am over trump and his cabinet
But my "waiting muscles" are really getting strained.
Let's ALL keep on waiting and anticipating and hoping and expecting and working toward the restoration of our incredible United States of America democracy!
You get pregnant, then you wait. The baby comes, and there is a book to track growth, and you wait. We are so trained to wait, yet being with the moment became a cry to humanity. I do believe that while we wait we do our work: art of many types, service of myriad kinds, maintenance and discovery. I shall cut this short so you can do whatever is your thing.

Mitch will run for the nomination?
'Waiting for the train' has such purpose and the gravity of goodwill to wellbeing. Wonderful to see!
Thank you!
There's a song: "Waiting on the train to take me home"--I like the version by Chris Smither.

"Damn' Yankees..." 😤
Waits can be long, just ask Valadimir and Estragon.
Ha! Yes…
To wait or not to wait. That is the question.

Watches are for knowing what time it isn't.
Well, not te be clever, but when I scrolled down to your drawing I said to myself with a smile, ah, that was worth waiting for...
We’re waiting with you, Liza👏. Love the drawing! So classic. So real!
I agree with everything, except the Yankees- BOO (red sox fan)

I'm waiting for all of those things, too, Liza.

Liza, the best always!!!
Your "waiting" list is only one small step from a Ferlinghetti poem! I love it...and wait with you.
