Jury selection is still going on in the Manhattan Trump Criminal Trial today. One juror who was on the possible selection of seven from Tuesday arrived to say that she decided she could not serve on the jury. She said she had heard from many friends and family, asking if she was on the jury—and so she came to the conclusion that she had lost annonymity. Cold feet. So the judge excused her and instructed the press not to report on physical descriptions and place of work of potential jurors.
From a NY Times journalist, “We are in a remarkable situation: Covering an unprecedented case of immense public interest and blocked in many ways from reporting on the constitution of the jury. The trial is not televised and we are the public’s eyes and ears, but at the moment, we are limited in what we can relay.”
Since we cannot see much of what’s going on, I am imagining it. All these people waiting to be considered for jury duty in this historic case. What are they thinking?
The trial lost another juror from the seven from Tuesday, they are now down to five potentially seated jurors.
So far, Trump has done a lot of scowling but no sleeping.
More later!
Having served on a jury, you have captured the broad range of juror's emotions.
Scowling in NOT a surprise, intimidating the jury?
