Cartoons come in many forms. Some newer cartoonists are posting drawings that are autobiographical in nature…about dating, or losing weight, or getting an apartment for the first time, or having a baby. It seems to be a trend.
While I sometimes bring my own experience indirectly into my drawings, I am rarely explicitly autobiographical. So I thought, why is that? Why not do some on what I am going through? In this case, it’s aging. The New Yorker chose not to buy it, so here I offer it for you to read.
Liza’s new book is Very Funny Ladies: The New Yorker’s Women Cartoonists. Available for personalized copies, preorderd, here.
I love this, and more than empathize. And the cat adds a funny detail.
Well done!!
