I find pools funny. Growing up in the suburbs, our neighbors across the street had one, and we spent a fair amount of time there. The only time I remember disobeying my mother was when she came over to get me for dinner, I was in the pool jumping up and down, pretending not to hear her. It was such a rebellious thing on my part (I was a major good girl, fearful of doing anything wrong because my sister was always doing something wrong), that I remember it.
Its never been about the pool for me, but the water: cool, refreshing... the temptation to submerge and never come back up. I'd love to know what your sister was always doing wrong! 😉
I agree, but as a cartoonist we often focus on the extras and the attitudes that go with pool scenes! My sister was running away from home and doing drugs, little things like that:)
A chuckle out loud with these cartoons. Being in a pool as a kid is so much more fun and carefree than being an adult in one. Didn't matter the size, it was always about cooling off and being silly.
