Couldn't agree more about Alexi Navalny & Fani Willis. Let's not forget Leticia James, hero of the day!

Omg. I haven’t even finished reading g this yet but had to tell you how much I agree! She was awesome. She helped her case significantly, in my opinion.

As you wrote Liza, I am “ guardedly encouraged”.

Amongst all the Trump drama I was disgusted by the way lawyers treated District Attorney Fanni Willis yesterday.. it may have just been my perception but there was an air of ,”she’s just a black woman”. She had every right to express righteous indignation . Ms. Willis held her own.

It will be interesting to see the Trump family reaction to today’s judgement. It would be great to see them held to the same legal standard as other Americans.

Play is so important. Thanks for reminding us! (And find joy for yourself wherever you can.)

“Joy doesn't betray but sustains activism. And when you face a politics that aspires to make you fearful, alienated and isolated, joy is a fine act of insurrection.”

How much do I love thee, oh really great sentence: "A man is not a plan"? Immensely. Sometimes I just run out of things to say that fully describe what I think of the orange man. I mean, really, there are no words. What I would absolutely love, though, is an orange man free day, week, month, year.....a total block of anything about him. It really is water torture, the daily as-the-mop-flops orange man soap opera. And yet, I do want to know when gifts like a $350 million dollar verdict against him, rears its lovely head. And when a brave Black woman calls his bluff. I love her. Meantime, thanks for the commentary. I agree. And, listen, enjoy your time with your daughters.

Thank you for speaking up for Fani Willis. I was disheartened by the media’s criticism of her performance as a witness. No one pointed out that it was character assassination, and as you point out, sexist and racist BS.

I think she was completely right in showing her contempt for the process. In what way is there a conflict of interest? We can assume both Fani and the man despise Trump. So where is there a conflict?

Wise witty words from all; . stunning writing from Allia. Go AG James and DA Willis. Willis especially stood strong -- and foiled the white supremacist claim that Black women are angry/out of control. Thnx Liza.

I don't miss the New Yorker ads for 10 k watches and cruises in boats as big as football fields.
