School is something everyone experiences, so—my cartoon brains tells me— it’s a good connector for humor. Here are two I did about returning to the classroom. I hope you can relate and find a few smiles! We are headed back to New York today after a few days in Maine, which was divine, even with the rain. We had one day of sunshine, which was great, but it all was lovely, A good rest before the fall craziness.
Well, we can’t talk about those good old days. It might be too “WOKE”, what a joke! I never saw a hickory stick but a wooden ruler, yep. My generation never had helicopter parents, or cell phones in school or the internet where information and disinformation are at finger tips. Not sayin’ that things aren’t better now; polio vaccine, and many other vaccines and medicines, transportation, building safety, and availability of good foods. But that’s only in some countries which should be changed if resources are directed to change instead of making more arms and weapons of mass destruction! and so it goes
