I have a couple of jaunty hats, and when I wear one, I feel like it gives me permission to behave in a jaunty way! (I am definitely NOT a naturally jaunty person!)

Though not Irish, I feel Gaelic when I wear a Hanna Hat.

Wondering: Does wearing a jaunty hat make you feel jaunty? Maybe that’s what I’m missing?! I would not shop at that t-shirt store.

I stepped back into the water tonight and tried to watch the news. I did not succeed. Had to turn it off. What prompted me was I would love to know what ELSE is going on in the world. But at what cost? He was in one of my dreams the other night, and all I can remember is he wanted to go to my 8th grade prom with me. Oh My Dawg. Anyway, been thinking about a book we could do together. Just a seed of an idea came to me this morning. I will keep at it. Not wearing anything jaunty, but do have a T-shirt that reads, "I miss precedented times." And I do. I really do.

I completely relate. I have not listened to, nor read much news. When I try, I fail. I changed my wake up channel from NPR to MeTV Radio so that I am listening to old music.

Thank you as always!!! Always does me good to read your post and your cartoons lift my spirits—I’m, and I think all of us here with you, are not alone in not feeling jaunty. 🌈🙏🏻💜

Could we become Jaunty Hat Lobbyists? I bought a Pussyhat those years ago. Maybe a Jaunty Hat could mobilize us, including all people who want to peacefully find ways to keep Washington accountable. 🤗

I dream about trump almost every night. And it is exhausting. Prison camps. Sometimes I am on the campaign trail with him as a worker. He has pervaded almost every moment of my day.

We did go to a seasonal Art opening 2 nights ago and jazz session. I was trump free during those moments.

So yes it is like being in a store where there are only pro-monarchy tee shirts. There does not seem to be any thing else on sale now. Time to go to a thrift shop and find something old and used, this new fad is not to my taste.

Not feeling jaunty but have jaunty hats. The season dictates that I wear winter hats. I like to wear the ones I have crocheted. I took a break from quilting to go to a quilt store! Spent too much money but had a lovely conversation with the owner - someone who is still teaching but had a vision about what she would do when she retires. Her husband was and is supportive of her passion. He has even cut fabric for me and made suggestions. I am surrounding myself with like minded people who want to create, share positive experiences, and have a few laughs along the way. Thought I would also stop a a huge market that has all kinds of vendors and ran smack dab into a booth with Trump flags for sale. Ugh!! Needless to say I skipped this booth! Now back to making pillowcases for our quilting guild to give to people in our local nursing home. I just have to do good deeds right now!
