I love drawing cats, as you know. Sometimes in a household, cats favor one person over another, and this is true in our house. I am the one who has had cats all her life since childhood….but does that matter? No! Our formerly feral kitty who now lives with us only has eyes for Michael. He will NOT let me touch him. Such is life, I am learning to adapt to this reality!
Animation like this still seems like magic to me. 💕
About Pets, I was the one who filled out paperwork to adopt from rescues, set up appointments, etc. etc. etc. Both dogs arrived and fell in love with my husband. I can’t blame them. :-)
We both got a laugh out of "She's talking to ME." So true in our home, also with adopted ferals. At least we have two so we can each have a "personal kitty."
You nailed it! We have 3 cats; a Maine Coon named for Mo, for Mo Rivera because my wife is a die hard Yankees fan (& a native NYer whose father was a die hard Yankees fan); and two fluff balls (Ragdolls). Mo was 'rescued' from an evil UWS pet shop and is imprinted on Robin, but when she has to travel for work, he deigns to engage with me! I accept my lot 😊
D.L. Well, this is wild! We have another cat, and his name is Mo! After Mariano, who I adore. We also had a dog named Bernie after Bernie Williams. And a cat named Mookie after Mookie Wilson (when I was a Mets fan before marrying a Yankee fan). Mo, our cat, was also feral and is very old and now blind, we love him. My parents had a cat named Casey Stengel!
Have loved cars all my life, but for the first part of life I lived with an allergic brother. Since then: always a kitty or two, or three. Last year we adopted a brother and sister. They ❤️ the hubs, and give me the cold shoulder. 🤷🏼♀️ (I’m considering a kitten.)
Have loved cats all my life, wanted one so much as a kid, but my brother was allergic. On my own, have always had a cat or 3. Last year we adopted a 5-year-old brother and sister. They adore the hubs, and ignore me unless I have some butter. 🤷🏼♀️
Hahahhahhaa!! Love this. So true. And sometimes true w dogs too... maybe with humans as well?
Indeed!! Thank you.
In our house, the cats seem to be most attracted to the person who has the treats.
We have all experienced the sharp claw of cat indifference
Great cartoon & cat story. 😸
Thank you, Linda!

Love that!

You will appreciate then the fight I had to put up to name our little girl kitten Freyja, not Aaron Judge!
Haha!
Cats, you gotta love ‘em. Doesn’t mean they gotta love you back.

I drew a ton of old cats for a picture book recently. They are just always such fun to draw as they always seem so disapproving.
Exactly!
