Love your drawing & the photos! I live in LA, but have never stopped there. Several weeks ago, I was driving from a friend's house near Long Beach to mine.. about a 25 mile drive. On the way, I spotted Randy's donuts. Like you, I was intrigued by the BIG donut sign. Being a photographer, I took out my camera and was thrilled to get a photo just as a jet plane was flying by, placing it in the center of the donut. Excited, I emailed it to my friend. It's important to know that I am white and she is black. She emailed back telling me that when she was a little girl, she and her friends went to get some donuts and they wouldn't serve her because of her color. She's been a dear longtime friend, and has clued me into to a myriad of experiences like this, the knowledge of which have made me more aware and enriched my life.
Super photo. But that's a lot for those birds to eat. They will have massive heartburn.. I can't eat donuts; my core doesn't tolerate them. Travel mercies for your return.
Mmmmm! Love donuts but they add to the donut around my middle. Drat.

I don't really like them, to be honest. Donuts, not just Randy's. But we stopped and I tasted and it was fun.
