Drawing Cats And Machines

My husband (who is a New Yorker cartoonist as well) challenged me the other day and asked if I was able to draw a backhoe, or a tractor or whatever this thing is called. So I did. I showed him! And without referencing anything! And then of course, I placed a cat there, because, why not?

Michael and I don’t usually challange each other to drawing duels, although we have done it. I know for a fact he can draw machinery better than I can, and he is really good at perspective. But he has told me that I draw the best cats. We all have our talents!
