Oh, Liza, so happy (for you and us) that you were able to get into the courtroom today! Yay--your reporting is so exciting! I tell all of my friends about your unique role and I am sharing, sharing, sharing! Thanks
I cannot be the first or only person to ask you to assemble and publish your own comic book version of your pictures, notes, and reflections on the Trump trial. Seriously, I would buy it.
He doesn’t have to do even that. Imagine some car driving by your house again and again that you haven’t seen before. Someone you do not recognize in the group of people waiting to pick up their child at school. Someone who does not leave with a child but watches who comes to you.
Thanks again for all your effort, Liza!! It is really worth it! I especially liked the Trump slumping in his chair. Just deciding what to draw or not to draw must be exasperating some days!
THanks! It is not easy, because the players remain the same for the most part. Except for Trump's guests. I am tring to make it interesting, and of course the words are changing constantly.
Super reporting. Again, the tension in it is palpable. I love the notes and to see what you felt was important. Love the drawings. You get the Pulitzer in my humble opinion. Five o'clock? Yikes. You must have been up before the birds. Thanks for keeping us all in the loop. xo
I hope he hasn't bought any juror. That would get his lawyers disbarred since they are the ones who know who is on the jury. If they gave Trump or his associates the names of the jurors they can kiss their careers goodbye.
Liza - your perception and commentary- not to mention your willingness to be on the scene at that courthouse are so appreciated, and your sketches are wonderful. That you are so reasoned about the circus you are witnessing only increases my admiration of you and your work.
I also would line up to purchase a book of your commentary, both written and illustrated about this event. It’s a historic if shameful and critical moment in our nations history.
Thank you, Patris. I perhaps should start writing it now, adding to the commentary I already have. So many thoughts. Not just about the key players but about everyone around them. The journalists, cops, cleaning woman.
Yes - at least the notes of event/impressions in real time (you are allowed to take notes I’m assuming). It would not only be an impactful book - but also a historical record.
Yes, the press is allowed computers! Amazing. But we are forbidden cameras or recording devices. THe book: I imagine I'm not the only person who would write such a thing. But I do believe I am the only cartoonist attending the trial.
I’d love to see your drawing of the tree outside 100 as the end point to this tough and funky visually confusing, mentally challenging story of the trial….I’m a big fan of recovery and I think Michael Cohen may have sailed the arc over the rainbow. He may actually be an ok guy!
Excellent work, Lisa!

Thank you!
I like those small plastic tents.

As would I!!
I too would buy it.
Me too!
The title could be, "The Center Street Criminal Carnival."
Thank you! Not sure who would publish it...... but I appreciate the thought and would love it.
Hot and heavy. I just have a hard time believing he has not bought at least one juror. It only takes one.
He doesn’t have to do even that. Imagine some car driving by your house again and again that you haven’t seen before. Someone you do not recognize in the group of people waiting to pick up their child at school. Someone who does not leave with a child but watches who comes to you.

I don't comment every day, but I do read all of your posts and I appreciate them so much. Thank you, Liza!
Thank you, Wendy! Your support is appreciated very much.

Ditto
Thank you, Patris!
Thanks for your perseverance in adding to our picture of the atmosphere around and inside of the courthouse.

If only

You are intrepid!!!
Thanks for all your hard work on our behalf.
And thx for the tree.
You're welcome!

I agree that Cohen may be okay! Maybe I will draw the tree at the end:)
Thankyou Thankyou.
