Lisa, thank you for all your drawings and for all the standing in line and sitting for hours. Today’s pics are fantastic.

Just like any other concerned citizen you will keep your readers and their friends informed of the doings in NYC. Thanks again for your views and sense of the goings on in a courtroom that we aren’t privy to. 🫶

I feel I should be doing something too; other than just voting, but I don't know what.

Your dedication is heartening. Thank you - I feel I know way more than what the media attempts to present. The drawings have a life of their own, thanks to you.

Love your reporting and your drawings which give me a greater sense of what’s happening than much else. From little old NZ so it’s more than a public service but a world service. Keep going if you can.

Pictures from the bathroom. That says a lot.

Thank you for being there and bringing these stories and images. Quite interesting that Trump struck a new pose when Costello arrived. Hopefully his move to have that thug testify will be his downfall. I look forward to the pictures when court resumes!

Congratulations Liza! This was a marathon and you ran it like an elite athlete. I've loved every post; you've done a stunning job of representing many different characters in both visual and verbal description. Well done! Sleep well, tomorrow is a new day!

I appreciate you sharing your heartfelt perspective on this, Liza. I share your deep concerns about the potential consequences if Trump were to return to power. His recent rhetoric, including the chilling reference to a "unified reich", is extremely alarming and seems to confirm the worst fears about his authoritarian inclinations.

You're absolutely right that this goes beyond just one man. Trump has emboldened far-right extremists and helped mainstream their toxic ideologies. The increasing far-right influence over the judiciary and efforts to subvert democratic processes and institutions pose a severe threat. I don't think you're being alarmist at all in worrying that a second Trump term could lead to a rapid slide into fascism.

I admire your conviction in bearing witness to this historic trial through your art. I truly believe that every voice of opposition matters, and that artists, writers and journalists who document this crucial moment are performing a vital public service. Your work helps shine a light on the urgency of the situation we face.

The fight to protect democracy is a long and difficult one, but we each have to find ways to contribute however we can, whether it's through art, activism, organizing or simply sounding the alarm to those around us. I'm struggling with the same question of what to do next. But I'm certain that silence and inaction are not an option. We have to stay engaged, stand up and keep fighting for the country and values we believe in.

Thank you for courageously using your talent to be part of that fight. I'm right there with you.

Your drawings are powerful. I think they might be more powerful than photographs. Your commentary along with your drawings bring a personal and human nearness that makes more impact. I’m sure you are making an impact in the fight. I have an idea for a way to perhaps add an exponent to the amount of impact. I’m not sure how to get that idea to you.

I feel like everyone around me thinks I’m some sort of alarmist, that roll their eyes at me, I know they’ve quit listening a while ago… as much as I want to believe my family and friends are on the same team, it makes me incredibly sad to think I may eventually have to leave them behind at some point. We each only have one life and I’m not truncating mine because people around me think I’m … nuts. I know what I’m seeing and hearing… it alarms me how many people are willing to tune it out.

Me too. I don’t understand either.

I thank you Liza for documenting this terrible moment in our country’s history. It can’t be easy— I would be loathe to be in the presence of that miserable human and his ilk. I always find hope in what you share each day that others will finally see what a monster he is. Looking forward to times when we can laugh more than we cry! Hang in there!
