This drawing came about because I wanted to draw two men in a jail cell. Seems like a cartoon setting that is fairly common, but I just never thought about it. It’s a setting ripe for conflict, drama and human emotion. I wonder why I’ve never attempted a jail cell drawing before?
It started because I wanted to use the phrase “painted as.” We hear that a lot in the news now. I was also inspired by the Trump Trial in Manhattan, the notion that Michael Cohen was a liar, a really bad guy, but now maybe he’s a good guy. That’s what the prosecution wants the jury to think. They are hoping the jury believes him, believes that he is telling the truth now. Not like before.
Don’t we all have good and bad in us, to a degree? I’d even venture to say that Trump has some good in him, but it’s deeply buried.
I hope you are having a great Saturday. I’m going to a baseball game tomorrow with my family! Baseball can take your mind off anything.
Thanks for being here. See you tomorrow.
excellent!
Thanks for that cartoon. I believe all of us, even the orange man, are shades of gray and the more we can see those nuances, the better off we are.
