A Sunday evening missive for you. Group hug, anyone? We have a rather large arrangement of stuffed bears on a bed upstairs in our house. They belonged to our daughters (my Aunt Peg would send them some every single year for a long time!), but sometimes I feel like just diving into them and returning to my childhood for a moment in time. I had a lot of bears growing up— in fact, I pretty much had nothing

I'll take that group hug. We all could use one. I honestly don't remember my childhood stuffed animal, though I'm sure I had one. Time for Prevegen. LOL.
Linda's and my grandchildren love stuffed animals (or "stuffies," as they call them), and many are bears. Their mom, our daughter Allie, was also a big fan of Stuffed animals, and her favorite was a polar bear. Younger brother Randy had a relatively large stuffed brown bear that he got when he was so small he could hardly carry it, though eventually he got used to it, and began to take it everywhere. Since he's autistic, this was a little bit of a breakthrough for him. The only stuffed animal I ever had as a kid was stuffed dog that was white with colored polka-dots. I hauled him around a lot at the age of about three, but eventually I lost him. Easy come, easy go -- still am not a pet loved. AM a people lover, though, and I would love a group hug. Feeling tired and a little strained by life these days.
There's something about bears, real and toy, that generate such feeling in me. Thank you Liza, I adore the simplicity in this drawing and its sentiment.
Who turns down a group hug of any kind? I had my stuffed toys all lined up next to me as a child every night. They'd be lonesome otherwise. I especially remember "Sock Dollager", obviously made from a sock. In gifted my daughter a bear every Christmas for years. Thanks for the memories and the group hug!
Ahhhhhhhhhh…………. Thank you!
Aye!
For me, it was my stuffed animals, Dino and FiFi. Dino was a brontosaurus, and FiFi of course was a french poodle! 💕
Love it. Our daughter had so many bears it became her nickname... “Da Bear”
Thinking of demanding every one visiting on Thanksgiving bring their significant ‘other’ stuffed toy. We can do portraits.
Love that idea!
Sweet….❤️🐻

Bears rule! I started my small collection of stuffed bears, a dog and sheep after age 40.
A group hug? Bring it on!
Love bears and group hugs. 💕

Interesting to hear your story and relationship with animals, alive or stuffed. Things are strained lately, it's true.

You are very welcome, D.L.
