Oh my dog...... Love love love love love (I don't want to be repetitive, so will end there) your "Truth" illustration, also love the quip...."more about the fall." You are a genius, indeed. To be able to get such a powerful "truth" across with a few strokes of the pen is brilliant. Oh, and I'll take a bag of Vermont leaves please. How did Dreamworks go, or are you still there?

The Dreamworks thing was great! They are the nicest people and very funny. And thanks for your kind words, you're too much, Allia!

The case is alive and well. Truth will out... except on the value of leaves. 😳

I am sitting at my handmade kitchen table here in rural Vermont. I spent part of the day walking along a nearby lake and photographing leaves. So I laughed and laughed at Liza's cartoon of a street vendor selling leaves.

Similarly, each spring I ask a charismatic friend to drive down to the city where we would sell maple sap from the back of his rusty pickup truck: "Fresh sap from the tree: $5.00 a ladle!!!"

Love your cartoons Liza and enjoy the conversations. Hope the Ed Koren gathering was sweet for all.

Hey bob, Vermont is so beautiful, we had a lovely, if somewhat sad, time. But it was a joyful celebration of a life well lived.

hi liza

thnx for your kind words and comment re the gathering for ed. both of you open our hearts with your words and drawings. and then, here, you offer further kind words to the many readers who visit this site.

Some day......Vermont-ish things that might warm your heart include the Museum of Everyday Things in a ramshackle barn (fun!!!); a Bread and Puppet gathering on their land (they are famous in "alternative earth"); and a visit to Heartbeet--a 55 acre farm energized by international volunteers that provides deep and steady community to adults with disabilities (We just call them friends). Finally"Soulfire Farm" in New York is run by Leah Penniman who, along with Stacy Abrams, should be our next presidential team. Two Black women running the show. How cool is that! And thnx so so much Liz.

Trump says not to worry. The Saudis will come to his rescue. OTOH, the Saudis are aware that golf courses might be had for pennies on the dollar. They are businesspeople and will drop the Donald and Jared like hot rocks.

while this bulletin board is about liza's amazing!!! work and life, many readers may smile at a local Vt-based alert that came out minutes ago.

according to our internet-based community bulletin board:a cow is on the loose (this is uncommon and not a daily thing). the stray cow, we are told has an ear tag of ken-- but will not respond to that name.

if anyone sees ken, best to notify the farmer. i send this out to a wider audience as ken may have hitched a ride south now that cool winds have arrived in vt. (after all, very few animals or humans will choose to spend the next six months standing in a field and wondering what happened to the sun.) if you see "ken" just ring us and we'll get the word out to the worried farmer. thnx.
