I know, right? It was priceless, I wrote it down immediately. Sums up the trial, although I'd say "He's just a corrupt dude."

Liza - if you’ve ever gone through voir dire it’s a lesson I found in how bizarre the questions can get if the attorneys really try to persuade you to be seated.

I was on a trial once, but they did not grill me much at all. It's fascinating.

I think many of us are struggling.

We all know t-Rump is a despicable violent creature and thus we have to pay close attention to the wide support he nourishes (Yes this is akin to Germany in the 30s.). The corporate media is going to follow Trump and Biden every day till the election. Coverage will be variously insightful, repetitive, frustrating and short-sighted.

We must have a wider lens. This country has had ignorant, violent leaders through its history. Most allowed or encouraged slavery for well over 200 years. And variations of racism/white supremacy anger remain today. This country blends of systemic violence and nourishing freedoms.

I so appreciate your anger and care and heart Liz. But I do not want to see you or anyone being sucked in by t-Rrump as seems to be the capitalist press' ways. I would much rather learn about the many women of color who are leading this country--and also fighting t-Rump.

Let's build the bridges that racists like t-Rump have tried to burn. We need more light!

Questioned for jury selection, I replied, "Lawyers, well there are 3 in my family, and one of the lawyers representing a client in this case is my daughter's father-in-law." haha
