My dad commuted through Grand Central for twenty years. I did the same at the start of my career. And every last time I walked through the main room, I craned my neck up at the night sky depicted on ceiling. Architectural magic.
One of my favorite places/buildings on the planet. I can’t even estimate the number of days I walked, ran, waited and marveled at every part of it! Thank you Liza, you take me home so often. Am grateful!
Liza, this will not play on my IPad Pro (Fully updated). I get the page with the arrow, but clicking the arrow does not engage the film. I can play the fast video grab but I really wanted to watch the actual drawing. Thanks for your work.
I was only at grand central once, was only a few months in the navy, and confused with which train, etc. a stranger saw my plight and helped me get to the right one on time. I always heard that New Yorkers were cold and unhelpfur, this man was a big help. I now give every one I meet a frendly word and smile. It has helped me in my life a lot. thanks for your drawing today, took me back a long way.
That is a myth about New Yorkers. As someone said, because we have to live so close together in such a small slice of earth, we know how to get along (mostly). And we like people, why else would we live there???
Love your videos. Bumping into strangers. Exchanging greetings. How much fun it is during the holidays. The LA train station downtown is not as big but it's nice.
I worked above GCT for 5 years and never stopped loving the subway ride into the terminal and my daily stroll through all its history, patriotism (the good kind) beauty. Interestingly, my office overlooked Leona Helmsley's penthouse apartment... another NY from days gone by... days which today seem so far away xox
My second favorite room in the world. The first: Radio City Music Hall. I love to see drawing from there.
Love it! Thank you!! Have a great day!
What Women’s March? Is there one this year? I was on the original one in 2017.
Yes, there will be!

I am so glad to be able to do that, Patris.

Thank-you for the hello from Grand Central Station. It’s so wonderful to see that building and the mailbox is spectacular.
