Is there a way to make the drawing match more closely with the attendant's emotions? Beginning flames coming out of her hair or one of those cartoon circles what have words in it but instead of words, maybe flames? It's also highly unusual to hear a flight attendant sound angry. It shakes up my sense of security - she's supposed to take care of me but how will she do that if she's so angry? Just my thoughts. Don't know if I can say this to you.

All I try to do with these live sketches is report what I see-- the "editorial" is in my choosing what to draw. It may become a cartoon at some point, indirectly! And I agree, it's not something you want to see from a flight attendant, even though we know they're human beings!

It's an angry world right now... the dominant narrative is falling apart. But what are you in LA for? Disney? Vacation? Running away from home?

Even though she’s in uniform and about to go to work, she still has a non work life, one hopes. We should get used to the idea that the Vegas Rule applies to airports now--what happens in the terminal stays in the terminal because peep have pretty much signed up for the Anti-Cheers nobody knows your name (unless one’s a celebrity) and tantrums have little downside. Still, a cool candid. 🥸

Thanks, I know. They are human, as much as we internalize that they aren't supposed to be!

That probably would have been rattling for me to witness. We put these people in the ridiculous and unrealistic category of those that keep us safe. She was just having a human moment but yeah, I'd rather she not be attending my flight😬

Do any of us have a clear understanding of what flight attendants have to put up with on the job? Aggression, rudeness, drunks, purposeful trashing of bathrooms, insults, grabby hands, and that’s the short list. I’m glad she had a moment to vent, and if she were on my flight I’d try to give her an appreciative smile.

I agree-- I am so sure it is often a thankless job. I didn't mean to be unkind.
