There will be massive layoffs in Health and Human Resources. RFK, Jr., who is the director, has had his sights set on Food and Drug Administration and the Center for Disease Control, both of which will loose the largest number of the 10,000 employees being let go. Kennedy said he “wants to do more with less,” and the cuts will allow the HHR to be more completely under his control. NY Rep Hakeem Jeffries said there will be a number of lawsuits to fight these layoffs.
Massive tariffs on automobiles are to go into affect next week. Trump announced this plan last night to take attention away from Signalgate (love the name), the dangerous behavior of Trump’s top aids concerning national security. It’s worked, at least with the NYTimes, but the tariffs is serious for our economy and loss of jobs. But I don’t think the Democrats are giving up on Signalgate any time soon. Attorney General Pam Bondi is hinting there will not be an official investigation, but Dems should attempt make a more noise about this incompetence.
The administration continues to deflect blame for the leaks, Trump calling the Atlantic article a “witch hunt” and Jeffrey Goldberg “a totally sleezebag.”
Marco Rubio is revoking visas daily.

The fellow on the right looks so like my musical theatre colleague on his way to or from our BMI Librettist’s Workshop near the WTC on Tuesday 6-8:30 pm. His outfit matches perfectly as does his features and hair!
When I watch these, I feel relaxed and more human. Bless you
