Ahh, I think the 'biggest' town near it is Bath - not too far from Brunswick. Sounds like you were further up than when we visited. Love your drawings Liza.
I loved how you added the foreground at the last second. The composition fell into place. I still don't know how you do it - draw quickly with what seems like a lack of a spacial plan. It's a gift.
Thanks for sharing this, and finishing it as you did. For a little while I thought I might be seeing a Trump face among the trees, but by the end it was pretty much obliterated. From your hand to God's hand!
Thanks for the great early morning drawing class. I want to slow you down, though. But I will keep watching it today, especially like the tree silhouettes til I absorb your essential marks.
As a writer I am often reminding my readers that there's the book I write and the book they read. I was reminded of that when comparing the scene (Maine) in my view with the vision the artist (Liza) captured on the page. The photo of both is worth framing!
I feel refreshed!🦞
Yay!
I’ve always found those dark, isolated islands forbidding but - no question -beautiful.
Oh I love that - I love Maine! By any chance are you near Georgetown? Enjoy Liza!
Where is Georgetown? We were very north downeast....

Be safe. Leave early. As Anne Lamont would wish you, Traveling Mercies.
We're are back in NY now, safe from the winds! Thanks.

I had to speed it up in order to upload it in an area without wifi! Thanks--next time will be slower.
