Thanks for this. Was captivated watching your careful choices of line and wash. It seemed like at one point you were trying to capture her expression/mood but then decided not to?
What is the name of the program you are using? I use Photoshop. There are a lot of similarities between. Can this program use layers? Can you paint a different color on top of an existing color and delete the opacity so the original color below bleeds through?
I use Photoshop. I use layers, lots of layers. I use masks. Add a layer with a different color and reduce the opacity to see the colored layer below it. I have subscribed to https://phlearn.com for a number of years. The monthly rate is reasonable and he has easy videos on every single thing you might ever want to know in Photoshop.
Such a great sketch! Fascinated by the stop, start, correct and go. Thank you!
I find it very restful to watch these before bed. And of course am always interested to see where you’re going next.

It's called Paper. Very simple drawing app. I love it. No layers and nothing fancy as you describe!
What is it about color that sets a tone and brings a drawing to life?
I know, right?
Love the real-speed video.
Don’t get the speed-up.
Amazing to watch!
