I love that the hats are from the Mike Pence VP debate but not loving that she is using this same verbiage to speak to the Gaza protesters at her events. I think she needs to acknowledge them and listen and engage with them a bit off the teleprompter. People may have family members being killed or their lives in danger. I hope she can show empathy and not let the moment of her rise have her forget that people need a leader who cares. Joe Biden actually did this beautifully. I hope she is looking to his mentorship in this moment. Frankly, it pisses me off that she is confronting them instead of engaging and hearing them. I will vote for her but hope she learns a lesson in humility and listening. A lot for a note about your hats...but I think needed in this time and place.
The night she said "I'm speaking" to the protestors as they tried to interupt her speech, she had spoken with them beforehand. I trust her. How can she not have compasson for the Palestinians/Gazans? I believe she is right, that if they succeed in dividing the left, Trump will win.
My desire to put her saying "I'm Speaking" onto hats is to focus on her as a woman of color who is finally speaking for so many women and people of color.
