I feel that the less news pundits I listen too the better I feel. I am spending my time creating - not as you do - I can't draw to save my life - I knit, crochet, and quilt. I just finished a 60 inch by 60 inch throw for a little 5 year old who is in Philadelphia Children's Hospital. His first bone marrow transplant was just rejected so there will be another attempt. He loves John Deere tractors - so that's the fabric I picked. I made a matching pillow with his name on it too and will make another pillow that will have a pocket for a board book about a John Deere tractor. I do use graph paper to plan out some of my quilt blocks, etc. and have to have coordinating fabric patterns and colors for borders and backing. I think that finding one's passion and sharing something helpful and doing good deeds is what will save me and maybe others. Your drawings are always spot on. I saw so many pics of Lady Liberty a crumpled, crying, cowering mess that is a powerful image that you have her standing strong. We all must stay strong against the onslaught of 4 years of Trump and his chaos that will surely ensue. Sorry for the long post but writing is a catharsis too as is baking and cooking! Cleaning not so much:)
Oh Dawn. It was a lovely post. And doing what makes us calm like sewing or quilting will renew us all. I have been so distracted by illness and the crumbling world I have not given myself permission to sit and create. I really loved hearing about your John Deere guilting project.
I breathe deeply and hope I can do something creative today after the interminable chores of the dishes and laundry.

The way I heard the rumor it was a recall notice from the French government.
