It’s the end of a long weekend commemorating Labor Day. In honor of that, I post a New Yorker cartoon of mine on the subject. I am returning home from a lovely bay in New Jersey where there were tons of birds! Always restorative. I don’t seem to have any drawings about actual Labor Day. Something to work on for next year.
Lovely drawings of marine life in NJ this weekend. Perhaps someday you might offer us some wisdom from those errant whales that approach the city's waters here n' there.
And thanks for this keyboard gathering place. Sometimes it feels as if we are neighbors to you Liza. Your warmth--and talent, of course-- make our exchanges quite wonderful.
Although filled with envy of your experience, I do have to hope you had an enjoyable, relaxing time at the bay. I lived on the Georgia coast for many years, and no open water with wind and waves close by, I have felt land-locked ever since I moved inland.
... the first one says to the other. His friend draws in a breath, leans over and whispers, “birds aren’t real.” 😁😁😁
Right. 🐧🐦🐤
You could draw something about that old adage not to wear white after Labor Day. Love the birds.

Thank you, bob! I am loving this community as well, you all are so kind. It motivates me!

...then another one says « I miss the potato chip crumbs...these healthy snacks taste like cardboard . »
Ha!! They do taste like cardboard, some of them at least!
You do have some super powers! The artistry of course. And then a genuine warm presence that is quite powerful. It's actually you--that is kinda cool.
By contrast, I was teacher to an amazing 1%er who once mentioned how helpful an assistant could be. With Seeing Things, tho---- it is you!!!!
Smiling from Vt streams and mountains
Thank you, bob. No assistant here, as you surmised! My best to Vermont, and to you.
Thanks so. Really. A friend.
