And a ceasefire, or is Trump making stuff up like usual?
Trump posted on Truth Social moments ago that there will be a ceasefire in the coming hours between Israel and Iran. This after Iran sent missles into our bases in Qatar. This ceasefire has not been confirmed by either country involved. I heard the news on MSNBc’s Ari Melber’s program, the NY Times has not confirmed it but the Guardian has it on their homepage. Just now, CNN’s Erin Burnett said that Iran has heard nothing about a ceasefire proposal.
We shall see.
I wrote the post below earlier today but it never went out via email, Substack was having technical issues. I am resending it— I was feeling very low about the world this morning, probably was the heat…. or at least in part. Here is the post:

Great set of photos, Liza, I do like the top one because of the grandeur of the stained glass windows... Yes, beastly hot, hit 92 here in Vermont and humid. So it goes. Trumps is insane and will say anything to anyone or country to divert any responsibility. We need an entirely new government, from the judiciary on down. Perhaps Greenland will offer to govern us!
I like the cropped version better because you said you were photographing people doing things in the summer. The other version emphasizes architecture, not people. Ok?
