Has the woman goes up the escalator, our nation drifts down by the escalating madness of this unfit administration.

Gee, it's nice to see what a Real Escalator looks like. The last time I saw a picture of one was of a shit heel coming down from one. Thanks Liza🤗 and will reStack ASAP 🙏💯👍

Wow I know that escalator! In 1971 a boy (let’s face it they were all boys those years to me) chased me down to ask me out. I was working for an encyclopedia publisher then - but I was married..

Was it the Lexington Avenue line? I don’t remember..

The escalator picture that you took the time to capture on your journey back to the surface is powerful. I hope it is a metaphor for where our country will rise to the occasion to save our democracy. It is a long journey until the Trump administration is done! As long as we keep moving forward one step at a time or escalator at a time, taking the time to seek help on the journey to a brighter day - taking an escalator, elevator, anything to raise our hopes and support one another on this journey. Thank you for taking the time to share your experiences as you travel. Also, we can imagine the escalator as a stairway to heaven because you lost a friend. Not all are paved with gold; they don't have to be. I'm 74 and was always told, Wait till you retire and can live out your golden years. Well, not so golden, more like the rusted stairs of the escalator, but as long as I keep moving, doing things I love, volunteering, reading, writing, and spending time with family, I will be OK. So, the stairway is earned by living a good life, having fun when possible, and taking time for ourselves and others. Michael's comment that "our nation drifts down by the escalating madness of the unfit administration" is valid, too. But, we can hopefully reverse the direction of the escalator, instead of descending into the abyss, and retool it to go only upward.

I hope it's a metaphor for good things to come. We can't get too much lower, am I right?

I can't take an escalator because I use a rollator. I have to find an elevator. You transform the mundane into art. You are a creator.

This so reminds me of the Russell Square tube stop escalator in London.
