If you see just the person's rear end, it means that person is on to something delightful/interesting/scary/disgusting/life-changing/boring/uh….. those bunnies make your photo interesting.
Thanks for capturing this detail. I had no idea they give tours of GCT. Another great reason for a NYC visit. GCT always leaves me in awe of its history, beauty, and complexity.
Beautiful glow. Another one of my favorite details in Grand Central is just to the left of this view, the marble floor in front of every ticket window is worn down into a row of shallow oval pits by 100 years of shuffling shoes.
Love your shot. I love all those beautiful details which accounted for my childhood fascination with Grand Central as a child, around 70 years ago. Thank you.
Super shot. Did anyone ever hear that if you speak into one of the walls in GC Station downstairs, and someone else is upstairs in a certain spot, you can hear it through the wall? I did it and it actually works. Great shot.
When I was 12 I once took a train trip from NYC to Miami Beach by myself. I had my money pinned inside my dress. My aunt and uncle in Brooklyn (we don’t have crime because all the crooks live here) put me on the train, and my grandmother met me in Miami Beach. We then sat in the chairs in front of her residential hotel on Ocean Boulevard. Those were hard times in my family but a beautiful memory of riding through big cities at night and seeing Spanish moss hanging on trees when we reached the South. This is my start of writing about some of the memories your pictures provoke, Liza.
So many books have been written with GCS as its main "character." I forget the title, but there was one book where someone lived behind the clock at GCS.

Thank you, Joan. I love that this sparked that lovely memory!
