I stopped in three churches in a matter of an hour. I thought of Pope Leo. A large bookstore where I browsed and had coffee in had a whole little extra room of religious books and memorabilia— it was abuzz and very busy. Speaking of which I saw a LOT OF BOOKSTORES in Paris today.
I love this city for many reasons: for all the side streets that are so still and quiet, full of little shops and restaurants, a refuge from the mayhem just around the corner. I love it for the chairs in cafes that face outward to the street, just for people watching. I love it for the fact that pedestrians rule, like in New York. I love it because it is forever walkable. More reasons, of course, those are just a few I thought of today.
Thanks for being here and looking at my photos! See you tomorrow.
Oh! The photos! So great to ‘see’ Paris. I love it also. So lucky (and priviledged) to be able to go there, we are. I especially love this caption ‘Pigeons discussing Notre Dame, or perhaps the new Pope’. Made me laugh out loud. Thx for sharing your adventures.
I was just telling another creator today that of my 100+ paid Substack subscriptions that you give more and greater variety of perks than any other account I support.
Your generosity is appreciated!
So are these photos!
